Is the 1300S Longer or Shorter than the 1200S?

Wheelbase is longer for the K13 at 62.4 inches versus k12 at 61.8 inches but the K13 is shorter overall 85.9 inches versus 89.8.

See the complete specs at this link.

Interesting they decided to go with a longer wheelbase on the 13S.

Tell me what I'm looking at wrong about those specs - are the overall length numbers possible? It doesn't look like the stock exhaust on the K12S sticks out past the rear tire, and the license plate bracket might, but not by much...add the longer wheelbase of the K13, and unless the 13 is using much smaller wheels or phenomenally lower-profile tires, it seems it would have to be longer than the K12S, since the length of both is basically the leading edge of the front tire, to the trailing edge of the rear....

Yes, I'm not diggin those numbers either. :?:

How can you have a bike that is 4 inches shorter but the wheel base is 6 inches longer. The rear fender does not extend that far on either bike. I'm pulling a tape to my K12 right now.

I just measured my bike and from tire to tire it is 86". The license plate light holder is another 3/4 of an inch. So for me my bike is 86.75 inches. Not really sure why they list the bike at 89.8 inches. The dude at BMW must have been a fisherman. :D

Yep - updated my sig to add the accessories I've added. Got the Powercone, as I thought it looked best on my color of bike. Little worried about the sound, because I read many reviews both for and against it. I lucked out, because I love it. 8)
