K12S/13S exhaust bracket/hanger

Postby zx9rmal on Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:35 pm

I installed an Akrapovic full system on my K13S and I never ride 2 up, so I removed the left passenger peg bracket and want to replace the right side with an exhaust hanger. I know of the one sold by Pack Parts, but does anyone know of anything else made for the K12S/K13S? They should be the same.

I like the painted bracket. Unfortunately, I'm not set up to fabricate that. Did you buy some ally plate and machine it?

I think it was 4mm plate I bought from Ebay dirt cheap, a few hours in the garage with a hacksaw, file and drill. Draw up a template on paper, copy over to ally then rough it out with the hacksaw, dress it with a file. Make the folded edge with a vice and hammer or shifter to bend the plate. Mark out the cut out in the middle, drill holes round it enough to get a saw blade in and cut it out, dress it with a file, a quick coat of paint and your done.
Dead easy and uber cheap!!
