Can you install the BMW anti-theft alarm after delivery

Postby howiroll on Tue Jan 11, 2011 3:12 pm

Was wondering if the BMW factory anti-theft alarm can be installed after delivery of the bike. Can't find info anywhere; could not find it in the gear catalog and no topics on it.
Chicks dig me because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it is usually something unusual.

Hi Howi :)

I think yes, look at this http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... 53&lang=en

Offers a retrofit theft alarm, but is more safe if you ask your dealer.

IMO is more convenient in this times a good gps trace system, you no need to use electrical connectios and you know always where is your bike

Hmmm, food for thought. I assume you are talking about guidepoint or lojack. Might be over and much more expensive then the alarm but maybe worth it.

You must pay monthly for systems like lojack, but if you have a cell fhone with internet access, you can buy a system with no cost tracer that send the bike coordinates to cell phone. Is preferable to pay internet phone acces, with thousand of aplications instead monthly payment for your alarm.

Just my opinion...
